In order to record the patient’s respiration, a thermistor and/or a piezosensoric belt can be used.
The nose piece of the thermistor is gently put into the patient’s nostrils. The two long cables exiting the nose piece should be placed around the patient’s head (above ears) like a loop whose size can be adjusted. The connector cables must be connected to the amplifier.
The belt is put around the patient’s chest (if woman: above breast). In order to receive a good signal the piezosensoric part must be placed in the middle of the chest. The elastic band should be tightened and the cables connected to the amplifier.
The Piezo Belt is available in various sizes.
